Public Artwork at Discover Tanjong Pagar (DTP) Community Green

When you are next in the Tanjong Pagar CBD area, do swing by the new Eco-playground at the Discover Tanjong Pagar (DTP) Community Green! Located at the green space bounded by Tras Street, Wallich Street and Peck Seah Street, this playground is part of the DTP placemaking efforts to create flexible community spaces for all to enjoy.

Launch of Discover Tanjong Pagar eco-playground as part of URA's pilot BID programme (Open space bounded by Tras Link, Wallich Street and Peck Seah Street)

My latest artwork in the “One Degree North” collection titled 'Tanjong Pagar' has been installed within the playground and is now a public artwork for all to enjoy at the DTP Community Green! This artwork is part of my "One Degree North" collection - inspired by iconic landmarks and locations around Singapore. The colours in this artwork represent the 8 stakeholders coming together to enliven Tanjong Pagar, and the power of collective action to effect and deliver change. Which stakeholder does each colour represent? Can you spot the geographical coordinates of Tanjong Pagar in the artwork?

Artist Kelly Ser explaining the inspiration behind “One Degree North: Tanjong Pagar” to Minister Indranee Rajah

It was a privilege to be part of the official launch event and meet with Minister Indranee Rajah, the 8 stakeholders of the DTP initiative, together with the grassroots leaders and members, and the community who live, work and plan in Tanjong Pagar.

If you are living or working in the area, or even if you are just passing through, do take a moment to enjoy this space.
